MapCHECK XY/4D is a new high precision table that expands the functionality of the MapCHECK in three significant ways:

1. Study the impact of respiratory gating by simulating actual XY tumor trajectory with a MapCHECK under live beam.

2. Increase field size beyond the standard 22cm x 22cm MapCHECK field size.

3. Increase data density beyond the standard MapCHECK data density of 0.7cm - 1.4cm.

MapCHECK XY/4D is compatible with all MapCHECK systems, and includes the XY/4D hardware and software, and when purchased operates within MapCHECK software version 3.2 or higher.

The new Daily QA3 will have an available wireless option which will transmit the Daily QA3 measured data in real time for viewing on a PC. The wireless solution will be an option, and guarantees the same high level of real-time access to the full measured data as the standard wired Daily QA3. Additionally, Daily QA3 wireless systems may be used with the standard single power/data cable at any time if desired for maximum flexibility.

Sun Nuclear offered the first available wireless QA product in 2000 with the original rf-IVD™. The Daily QA3, when introduced in Summer of 2006, will be the most advanced Daily QA3 system available offering new tests and ease of use never before merged into a single product.
 

A significant new paper has been published on the TomoDose™ and it’s suitability for QA of the Tomotherapy Hi Art machine. "Evaluation of a diode array for QA measurements on a helical Tomotherapy unit” by MD Anderson Cancer Center Orlando appears in the November 2005 issue of Medical Physics. With a conclusion of “The ease of use and the immediate availability of the results make this device ideal for routine QA measurements.”

The  Edge™ Detector is an all new detector suitable for in-water and out-of-water small field dosimetry. The Edge™ Detector was designed to eliminate the dose volume averaging problem associated with ion chambers for small field and high dose gradient dosimetry. Ideal applications are all types of beam scanning for field sizes smaller than 20x20 cm². FDA 510k (k051921) approval has been received.

The only commercially available cylindrical detector is the Sun Nuclear ISORAD™. The ISORAD™ has undergone a mechanical redesign that uses the same trusted cylindrical mounting but replaces the prior epoxy molding with a more robust plastic housing. Performance attributes remain unchanged, and the new ISORAD™ is offered in 1-4, 6-12, and 15-25 MV configurations.
