The DAILY QA 3 uses a total of 25 specially designed detectors, both ion
chamber and diode, to obtain the best possible results for routine
QA tests:
12 precision diodes measure Radiation Field Size of a 20 x 20cm field at 100cm SSD
5 rectangular ion chambers measure beam output, flatness, axial symmetry, and transverse symmetry
4 curved ion chambers on the corners of a 20 x 20cm field and measure diagonal flatness, an indicator of photon energy
4 circular ion chambers with inherent differential buildup measure dose at different depths, an indicator of electron energy
All collected data is transmitted in REAL TIME to a PC (network compatible) for presentation of the data. This is accomplished via
Sun Nuclear's standard cable, or via an optional wireless transmitter.

The Daily QA 3 was designed to be therapist Friendly. Only 2 steps to automatically acquire and
view flatness, symmetry, and output data in REAL TIME. (Other tests may require a separate measurement):
Click the START button (Once start is initiated, administer beam)
Click ACCEPT when the beam is off to record your results
Note: Clicking ACCEPT automatically initiates a new measurement for the next
beam.
Data Storage is Automatic
Accepted data is automatically saved to the Trend-Analysis database and
there is no limit to the amount of data that can be stored. Data parameters
are presented in a time-line which allows you to easily identify
errors and compare against the allowable limits. This allows for easy
identification of long-term trends. All data is scaleable to a
desired time window, and individual days are viewable for deviation from the
benchmark, reference, or standard. Recorded data may also be edited as
required, and templates may be modified without the need to recalibrate. All
privileges to collect and edit data are defined with a user login account,
specific to each user.
Automatic T & P Corrections
The DAILY QA 3 uses vented ionization chambers because they are more
reliable than sealed chambers. To solve for variations in temperature and
pressure, the DAILY QA 3 has a built in thermometer and barometer to
measure and automatically correct for these atmospheric changes.
