Q: What does the SunBeam do?
Q: Who can use the SunBeam?

Q: How small of a field can SunBeam measure?

Q: Why is SunBeam the same price as a PROFILER 2, even though it has far fewer detectors?

Q: Can I use SunBeam for patient specific QA?

Q: What does the SunBeam do?
A:
SunBeam measures real time output, symmetry, flatness, and field size of a cone-based stereotactic beam (specifically CyberKnife.)

Q: Who can use the SunBeam?
A:
Any clinic with a CyberKnife - SunBeam was designed to fit into the CyberKnife birdcage. Similar cone based stereotactic radiosurgery systems may also be eligible although testing has not been performed on non-CyberKnife systems.

Q: How small of a field can SunBeam measure?
A:
SunBeam can measure output for fields as small as a few mm in diameter, such as the 5 mm cone of a CyberKnife machine. To gather flatness and symmetry information, SunBeam requires a field of 1.0cm.

Q: Can I use SunBeam for patient specific QA?
A:
This has not yet been studied. SunBeam was designed specifically to do intensive Beam QA, as well as routine QA and trending.
