The detector layout enables the capture of beam characteristics not possible using other measurement systems designed for traditional LINACs. TomoDose presents it’s users with a fast and accurate method of beam data acquisition without using labor-intensive water tanks and electrometers. TomoDose is self contained and can be setup by a single person in only a few short minutes, and is already in use at several TomoTherapy Hi-Art sites.

Hardware
The TomoDose gathers data using 223 solid state detectors (Overlay) that measure only 0.8mm x 0.8mm. The small detector size allows for very precise dose measurement in areas of steep dose gradient. Detectors are spaced every 5mm along the x-axis, and 4mm or 8mm along the nine y-axes. Data is collected electronically and is available to the user immediately after measurement in the form of a .txt file. The TomoDose also features beam pulse detection, beam time, and detector temperature measurement capability in anticipation of dosimetry needs. Integrated Windows software is also included.
