Wireless In-Vivo Dosimetry is now a reality with the rf-IVD 2™. Being Wireless solves one of the biggest issues facing any Patient Dosimetry system – cables lying across the treatment vault floor. Via radio frequency, the rf-IVD 2 uses a wireless detector pod to communicate real-time dose information to a wall transponder (which is hard-wired to a control module.) No more cables are left lying on the treatment floor in danger of tangling or tripping patients or staff. The rf-IVD 2 features four standard input channels and in the future can be expanded up to 52 channels for TBI cases.

The system is operated using a very simple and intuitive START/STOP operation:
  • START measurement by selecting one of 12 energy keys.
  • Administer treatment plan.
  • Dose data is updated on the rf-IVD 2 display in real time. Select STOP once plan is complete.

Accuracy & Reproducablity

The rf-IVD 2 is an exceptionally accurate dosimeter with zero bias voltage for maximum patient safety. Accuracy of the rf-IVD 2 is therefore limited to the specifications of the diode detector in use. ISORAD™ and QED™ diodes feature reproducibility of < 0.5% for > 1cGy.
