High Density Dose Map Planning
MapCHECK XY allows automatic expansion of the high density (221 detector)
MapCHECK 10cm x 10cm inner field size. Preloaded templates, such as this
Head & Neck template, concentrates detectors where they are needed most, and
increases the overall field size. By combining multiple measured array
positions it is possible to double the detector density. Users may always
edit these templates or create their own.

4D Dose Map
Planning
Actual “motion envelope” data for X, Y, and Z coordinates is input or
imported into the MapCHECK XY/4D software, which is then reproduced by the
MapCHECK XY table. The XY table reproduces the XY motion with a MapCHECK on
top, and the machine may also be gated via a vertical lift. The end result
is irradiation of the MapCHECK array using a simulation of the actual tumor
trajectory.
The results can be used to evaluate the efficacy of the gated plan, the 4D
duty cycle, and the impact to actual patient structures when breathing
patterns are introduced either with or without gating.
