The Beam Alignment QC Tool provides a simple test ofalignment for x-ray beams. When used with the Collimator Test Tool, x-ray beam misalignments of 1% and 2% can be visualized without the need for measuring or calculating.
The Beam Alignment QC test instrument is constructed of a plastic cylinder high with two steel BBs, one at each end. The steel BBs are located directly above one another so that, when level and in alignment, they will be superimposed on the radiograph. A bubble level is included so accurate tests can be performed quickly and with ease.

The Contrast Detail QC Tool (model 1151) is an aluminum plate with a 10 x 10 matrix of circular indents designed to test the full range of your imaging equipment. All of the contrast indents in a given row have a constant depth. All of the indents in a given column have a constant diameter providing a total 100 contrast combinations. Contrast-detail curves can be constructed by observing the shallowest depth hole that can be seen for each indent diameter.
